Frederique Constant SA, the manufacturer of luxury wristwatches from Geneva, has collaborated with Cohiba, the renowned name in the Cuban cigar industry, to offer a limited edition “watch + humidor” set. The two companies have developed two extraordinary watches that echo the impression of the Cohiba brand. The luxury watch features an elegant case inspired by the Toro shaped cigars, an ivory colored dial, the tobacco brown Roman numerals and the hand-sewn tobacco brown Crococalf strap.

New York has been named America’s richest city with a record 667,000 people with $1 million or more in investible assets, recorded as living there in 2009. The Wall St. Journal reports that’s 18.7% higher than in 2008. The study was done by thrnew Metro Wealth Index created by consulting firm Capgemini. New York topped the list with a sum greater than the total of the next three runners up combined – Los Angeles, Chicago and Washington. While growth is up across the board over 2008, only New York, D.C. (#4), Houston (#9) and San Jose (#10) are now above their 2007 pre-recession levels.

Maybach has added a line of sunglasses to there lifestyle products. It is range of ten spectacle frames and eight different sunglasses, produced under license by German optics company IVKO.
Details on the hand-made glasses are as lavish as those found inside a Maybach 62, with piano-lacquered wood, natural horn, carbon fiber and leather-trimmed arms, titanium, 18-carat white, yellow, and rose gold frames. Lenses come from those quality glassmakers over at Zeiss.
For something more bespoke you can give your shades the coachbuilt treatment with Maybach’s Individual Collection, which “will cater to various special requests and customization choices and features 18K carat gold details.” Sadly, there still won’t be enough room here to add a refrigerator or humidor, but you might find space for rhinos and emus to make the contributions.
