Bulgari will launch “Bulgari Man” in early fall.

Perfumer Alberto Morillas gave Bulgari Man a woody-oriental scent with top notes of pear, bergamot, and violet leaves, in addition to white wood and vegetal amber that’s based on a proprietary Firmenich molecule.

Bulgari Man eau de toilette sprays will be available in three sizes: $79 for a 100 ml bottle, $58 for 60ml and $42 for 30ml. A 200ml bath and shower gel, at $35; a 100ml aftershave balm, at $44; and a deodorant stick launching in January, at $25, will accompany the fragrance.

Next year Louis Vuitton will be releasing custom iPad Cases. The cases will come in the Monogram and Damier Graphite design. They will be priced at $240.

This is the new $100 bill — set to be released February 10, 2011 — is super secure and full of new, hidden features.

“As with previous U.S. currency redesigns, this note incorporates the best technology available to ensure we’re staying ahead of counterfeiters,” said Secretary of the Treasury Tim Geithner. What’s especially nice is that with this new hundred dollar bill, you don’t have to be an expert to see if you’re being fooled.

For example, see that blue ribbon? That’s a “3-D Security Ribbon.” The bells and 100s move and change back and forth like those hologram cards from the 80s. There’s also a bell in that inkwell you can just barely see; it changes color from copper to green when you tilt the note. The watermark portrait of Benjamin Franklin is also very hard to replicate, so know your Founding Fathers and you should be all set.

“The advanced security features we’ve included in the new $100 note will hinder potential counterfeiters from producing high-quality fakes that can deceive consumers and merchants,” said Larry R. Felix, Director of the Treasury’s Bureau of Engraving and Printing. “Protect yourself – it only takes a few seconds to check the new $100 note and know it’s real.”

Additional new features include phrases from the Declaration of Independence, the big quill, and a vignette of the rear of Independence Hall on the back.

You wouldn’t think that this would be the time to launch a luxury credit card but JPMorgan Chase & Co. has come out with a new card, Chase Sapphire, which is aimed at the affluent. Bloomberg News reports that Chase Sapphire is for households with incomes exceeding $120,000. The new card has no pre-set spending limit and holders earn a point for every dollar they spend.

This chromed-out version of Audi‘s awe-inspiring R8 supercar has sparked debate amongst enthusiasts after having been spotted in the UK. The one-off vehicle, finished either in full chrome or polished aluminum depending on whom you ask with black intakes and sideblades is certainly an eye-catcher. Meanwhile, an outrageous convertible version of the R8 was recently spotted co-starring with Robert Downey Jr. while filming the upcoming Iron Man sequel.

Sony is preparing to release a high-end, stylish iPod/iPhone/iTouch micro component system called the CMT-Z100iR. This dock was made for the space conscious that want something truly different. This device also has Audio In, CD playback capability (no word if it can play mp3 cd’s), and a USB port so you can connect your USB-equipped portable music player for additional playback/recording options. The speakers output at 20Wx2, which is generally more powerful than the average small-scale dock. Consumers will probably like the attractive touch panel control with additional wall-mounting capability.
